Argyll is expanding its sales team and is seeking experienced business development professionals or ambitious graduate calibre individuals to present the company and deliver the sales and tendering needs of our leading Lone Worker service organisation. Argyll is an established industry leader and is looking for 7 Regional Development Executives to source business and tendering opportunities within the public sector and other relevant organisations throughout the UK and within a defined region.
Working as a member of the Business Development Team and within the sales department, you will provide a range of business development services following sales and tendering processes that promote the quality of products and services in the Argyll portfolio.
You will have proven sales experience and business development experience and you will be capable of preparing and submitting tenders to organisations and to generate new business.
Ideally you will have experience of winning business in a B2B sales environment. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge of preparing and responding to tenders. You may already have experience of managing the tendering processes and an understanding of the buying process.
Regional Sales Support Exec – Full-Time and Part-Time

Argyll is expanding its sales team and is seeking experienced business development professionals or ambitious sales and marketing graduates to support our sales and tendering needs of our leading Lone Worker service organisation. Argyll is an established industry leader and is looking for 7 Regional Sales Support Executives to source business and tendering opportunities within the public sector and other relevant organisations throughout the UK and within a defined region.
Working as a member of the Business Development Team and within the sales department, you will provide a range of business development and support services following sales and tendering processes that promote the quality of products and services in the Argyll portfolio.
You will have proven telesales experience, knowledge of CRM systems and business development experience.
You will be required to support our Regional Development Executives by conducting fact finding calls with clients by means of inbound and outbound calling, assessing and advising on potential requirements and arranging presentations and providing quotes. Each call must be handled efficiently and professionally ensuring customer satisfaction at all times and service level agreements are met.
Control Room Operator – Full-Time £13,100 per annum, Part-Time pro rata
Based at the state of the art Alarm Receiving Centre at Safeshores House, Sandbank, Dunoon.
This is a permanent position. Entry salary is £6.73 / hour plus on call and night shift allowance of £861.00 per annum. Full time staff will work on a shift pattern averaging 37.5 hours per week. Part time positions are also available. Shifts require attendance within the ARC for up to 12 hours per shift across the rotation. Argyll has a standard 6 month probation period for all new employees.
Please note – This role falls under the ambit of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Candidates will be required to submit to a full Enhanced Disclosure process and all prior employments will be verified and references will be required and contacted prior to formal appointment.
The main responsibilities of the role:
The control room team perform a variety of duties concerned with the movement, wellbeing and safety of staff and subscribers from within the ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre). They operate monitoring systems that control and activate alarms and respond to system activated alarms, controlling the alarm through its life cycle. Working as a member of the ARC team within the operations department, you will act as the first line of contact and support to system users and their managers.
You will be rquired to learn a variety of systems and demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally. A good working knowlege of word, excel and CRM systems is required and evidence of a flexible and muti skilled approach will be sought.
Essential skills:
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent attendance and timekeeping
- Work independently in the absence of direct supervision
- Work with computer screens and computer equipment
- Making sound decisions
- Demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Essential knowlege:
- Knowledge of telephone handling techniques
- Knowledge of basic word and basic excel packages
- Knowledge of UK geography.
