Lone Worker Devices
Argyll enables your safety service deployment to be based on meeting the needs of both the risk assessment and the operational needs of end users.
Other providers advocate the use of a single device for all personnel. However a mass deployment of a single device can actually create problems for management. Restricting the deployment to only high risk personnel leaves questions over the consistency of delivery to other personnel with lower risk profiles or disabilities. A universal deployment may also mean having to compromise budgets in other core activities or place financial burdens on the organisation.
Our safety monitoring service is compatible with almost every type of mobile device and it is this flexibility that enables management to apply a consistent approach to the control of risk and maximise deployment.
Mobile Phones
Your existing mobile phone is likely to be fully compatible. Working with Argyll’s Communicare service ensures that your personal mobile device will be BS8484 compliant. Options available include:
- Every-day mobile phones

- Smart-phones (MicroSoft Windows Mobile version 6.0+).
Accredited Safety Devices
In addition, Argyll offers a range of accredited safety devices for use with our service. These devices are selected upon their merit and for a specific operational application (e.g. man-down) within our varied client user groups. In addition to technical testing, our Accredited Lone Worker Device range is accredited as being fit for purpose in all aspects of BS8484 and our service functionality.
Other Device Options
Our service is capable of supporting other devices and applications that may be in use within our client groups. Any manufacturers or clients seeking integration of their specific device or application with our service should ask our sales team for further information.
