What is Seeker?
Seeker™ is an integrated and secure global mapping service.
It provides a single solution for locating Lone Workers or vulnerable
individuals using a host of portable devices including mobile phones, personal
safety devices, Blackberry, smartphones and other GPS or GSM asset tracking
devices. When combined with Argyll’s safety solutions, Seeker provides a
comprehensive Health & Safety and personal wellbeing management package.
Seeker™ provides clients with 24-hour access to real-time
and near-real time location and tracking data displayed on Google® maps and
because it’s an Internet service, it removes the capital costs and ICT
challenges associated with traditional location management solutions.
Seeker™ is a fully managed service that provides secure
access control to protect your personal data. It is accessible to authorized
individuals using any mobile device or PC via standard Internet browsers and
from almost anywhere in the world. Seeker™ also restricts access to ensure
users may only view and assess location data of devices within their direct
control.

- Current Location: Using this live functionality Seeker™ can display the known location of any device using Google maps, aerial photography and street views within an accuracy of just 5 metres. The current location and status of multiple devices within a given area can be displayed in a single global view.
- Route History: The route history permits viewing of ‘snail-trail’ or ‘breadcrumb’ trails left by any device over a specific timeframe enabling service delivery queries to be rapidly answered.
- Perimeter Zones: Operational perimeters and rules can be established to trigger alerts upon ‘entry’ or ‘exit’ or both ‘entry and exit’. Suitable applications could include major incident alerting or identification of multiple points of interest.
- Street View: Using integrated Google® Street View provides local images and situation awareness to assist first responders.
- Nearest Resource: Search for and overlay local hospital or emergency resources, identify places of safety and provide real time directions.
- Map Transfer: Transmit individual mapping coordinates to responder devices using SMS.
- Conversion Tool: Provide map coordinates in other formats for 3rd party responder services.
- Travel Information: View and download route reports. Information provided such as distance travelled, speed, start and end point of each trip. Check mileage to and from a location.
- Presence Marker: View and download service delivery reports. Presence Marker information identifies location, service start and service end for each visit.
